Three UK's iD Mobile Network Down? Company Responds To Massive Outage

iD Mobile, British mobile virtual network operator, faced an outage on Friday with several users complaining that they had no network or signal across the UK. The company uses Three's mobile network to provide 4G services in the region. Downdetector, a platform that tracks online outages, showed that more than 3000 reports were raised around 4:30 PM GMT.

Downdetector further showed that 46% of those reports were about mobile network, 34% complained about internet and 20% said there was a complete blackout.

Several social media users also complained about the iD Mobile and Three UK outage.

"Hi, I'm a new customer and don't get a great data speed in rural Wales, and on arriving here at the Trafford Centre in Manchester there's almost nothing here either. You do have some bandwidth somewhere, don't you?" one person complained on X.

"Is @iD_Mobile_UK down Nationally, I haven't got any signal at all and their app is refusing to let me login," another one tweeted.

"Hey @iD_Mobile_UK my internet and mobile connection are down here in Sheffield. Can you please help?" a third customer added.

Three UK issued a statement, apoligising to its customers.

"We are aware some of our customers are experiencing network disruption. Our engineers are working to fix the issue as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused," Three UK said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

"We’re experiencing a network issue that is impacting calls and the use of mobile data. The iD app is also partially unavailable, due to a high volume of users," iD Mobile tweeted.
