Rumour: Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Will Finally, Finally Release Later This Year

Rumour Dragon Age Dreadwolf Will Finally Finally Release Later This Year
Dreading it

So, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf — the BioWare game that's been developed, scrapped, developed again, maybe scrapped again, and then teased for about half a decade, could finally release before the year is out. That's according to in-the-know Game Mess host Jeff Grubb (via Eurogamer), who says "[Dreadwolf] will be released this year, last I heard". He continues: "They're pretty confident about that. Doesn't mean it's a guarantee – could slip – but right now, internally, they expect to release it later this year."

Let's hope so, eh? Again, the new Dragon Age has failed to show up at so many industry events over the last few years that we've grown accustomed to just disregarding its existence. But last year, BioWare did say that the game would be properly revealed in the summer of 2024. Assuming everything lines up, including this release rumour, it probably means that we're getting a date at Summer Games Fest or something.

It's a high pressure situation, though. Dreadwolf has been in public-facing limbo for so long that this eventual reveal really needs to hit home. It feels like the once top-tier RPG developer has an awful lot riding on the success of this project.

How do you think things will go for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf this year? Watch with nervous anticipation in the comments section below.
