Dundee and Dundee United met in a battling encounter at Dens Park but nothing could separate the sides.

Tam Courts' side were toothless in attack throughout despite having three strikers on the pitch. They didn't register a shot on target, with Nicky Clark fluffing a huge chance to win it late on.

Dundee now drop into bottom place and marooned four points from safety, albeit with a game in hand on Ross County in 10th, who they face in a huge 'six pointer' on Saturday.

James McPake's side now haven't won a Premiership game in two months, a concerning stat for the Dens Park faithful.

United have won once since beating Aberdeen on November 20 and have picked up the same number of points in their last 10 as their relegation-troubled rivals.
