BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Bobby Brazier sports new look after next job confirmed away from EastEnders

Bobby Brazier has been seen sporting a new look as his next big job since Strictly Come Dancing was confirmed. The actor and model took to social media to reveal he's sporting a brand new hairstyle after getting many comments about his curly locks while in the ballroom.

Bobby, who took part in the BBC One dance contest last year with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, was often tipped to be the perfect person to play Mick Jagger if there were to be a biopic of the Rolling Stones star, partly thanks to his floppy hair and his dance moves.

But the 20-year-old has since returned to EastEnders, where he plays Freddie Slater, with a more cropped haircut. His notably shorter hair was on show as he posted a string of videos to his Instagram Story in which he could be seen dancing away in front of the camera to a string of tunes.

It comes after Bobby's latest role was revealed after it was reported he'd signed up for a further year on BBC One's EastEnders amid doubts about his future in Walford.

Bobby, who is the son of the late Jade Goody, has joined the cast of Paramount+ drama Curfew, a six-part series that began filming in London earlier this year. Curfew is based on Jayne Cowie’s novel After Dark and is set in a society governed by 'The Women’s Safety Act’, where men are all tracked by ankle tags and are confined to their homes by a strict 7pm curfew every night.

When a woman is found brutally murdered during the curfew hours, veteran police officer Pamela Green believes a man must be responsible, but if that is the case, her investigation could threaten the curfew itself – and there are powerful people who will do whatever it takes to make sure that does not happen.

Sarah Parish stars as Pamela, while Bobby Brazier plays James, a vocal schoolboy who advocates the abolishment of the curfew. And he's not the only EastEnder in the cast as three former stars of the soap also have roles in the thriller.

Lucy Benjamin plays DCI Sue Ferguson, Pamela’s superior, Larry Lamb stars as Rhys Holden, whose family arrives in the UK from America and has to learn to adjust to life under the restrictive curfew system, while soap legend Anita Dobson is Janet, a woman who runs a ‘motherhouse’, a refuge-style home for women who do not wish to live with men.

The cast also includes former Doctor Who companion Mandip Gill, singer and actress Alexandra Burke and Mayflies actor Mitchell Robertson.
