Embraer hands over its 1800th EJet to Royal Jordanian Airlines
Embraer has handed over its 1800th E-Jet production aircraft to Royal Jordanian Airlines.

Embraer celebrated the delivery of its 1800th E-Jet production aircraft.

The handover ceremony took place at Embraer’s facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil, where the new E190-E2 aircraft, owned by commercial aircraft lessor Azorra, was handed over to Royal Jordanian Airlines.

“We are delighted to participate in the milestone celebrations for Embraer and the E-jet program, recognizing the longstanding collaboration between Royal Jordanian and Embraer, supported by our valued partners at Azorra,” Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian Airlines, said. “The E2 family of aircraft supports our strategic aims and seamlessly integrates with our vision for regional connectivity and growth.”

Royal Jordanian Airlines has taken delivery of its third E2 aircraft, which joins their four first-generation E-Jets already in service. The acquisition is part of an order announced in May 2023, which includes a total of eight E2s worth $635 million at list price value. The order comprises four E190-E2 and four E195-E2 aircraft.

The Embraer E-Jet program, launched in 2004, has served the fleets of 90 airlines and leasing companies in over 60 countries, according to its manufacturer. The E190-E2, a part of the second generation of the E-Jet family, is marketed as the quietest, least polluting, and most fuel-efficient aircraft for the under 150-seat market.
