England midfielder says the Three Lions squad will be looking to improve in their final EURO 2024 group game
Gallagher was introduced as a substitute early in the second half as England looked to find the winning goal which would’ve sealed qualification for the round of 16.
And the 24 year old revealed what his aim was once he’d replaced Trent Alexander-Arnold in the centre.
“The instruction was just to give a bit of energy and pressure on the ball and try to keep the ball better than what we were doing to try and control the game,” he explained.
“We know that if we’re going to win the tournament we’ve got to play better, so we’ll look to improve how we’re playing on and off the ball.
“The good thing is that we know we can do better so that’s something to look at.”
The game with Slovenia in Cologne takes place at 8pm BST on Tuesday 25 June.
