Insatiable Realme: it is growing more than anyone else and is aiming decisively at Europe
Time passes, but Realme it has no intention of slowing down its run which in the third quarter of last year had led it to be the fastest growing 5G smartphone brand in the world. The same excellent results were also repeated in the last part of 2021 (+ 165% compared to Q4 2020), demonstrating how much weight this young brand is starting to have in the market.
“Democratize 5G technology and services“, this is the intention of Realme, which has now entered the top 5 in Europe for the number of smartphones shipped compatible with new generation networks. These are the words of the analyst Harmeet Singh Waila of Counterpoint Research:
Since 2020, Realme has expanded its 5G product portfolio, from two smartphones in early 2020 to 15 in early 2021, which doubled in the fourth quarter.
Part of Realme’s growth is attributable to the performance of shipments to Western Europe, especially in Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, France and Switzerland. The success of the brand is linked to the sales of Realme 8 5G and the GT series (HERE you can take a look at the GT 2 Pro review), Realme 9 5G will soon arrive in the Old Continent. “Realme was the fastest growing brand in Europe in 2021, getting stronger and stronger. It entered the market in June 2019 and quickly garnered favor with its flagship killer approach by offering high-end devices at competitive prices.“- Kan Stryjak, Counterpoint Research.
To further strengthen its position in Europe – including Italy – Realme is betting on GT 2 and Pro variant, and will soon bring GT Neo 3 to the market with its 150W recharge.
