TEAM NEWS
The young Blues suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat to Blackburn Rovers Under-21s last time out but could be strengthened this evening by the additions of Mackenzie Hunt and Lewis Warrington. The Toffees duo were training with the Senior Team last week.
Midfielder Luke Butterfield is also in contention as he continues to step up his return from injury, while striker Francis Okoronkwo remains sidelined.
Both Youssef Chermiti and Charlie Whitaker are suspended for tonight’s game.
HEAD COACH'S VIEW
Speaking ahead of the game, Paul Tait told evertonfc.com: “It’s obviously a really big game for us and we’re looking forward to it. I thought we played excellently last week against Palace in the league match.
"We had great combination play and we were getting into really good areas, so it’s gives us confidence because we think we can beat Palace in the semi-final.
“If we did get the win, the final would be at Goodison. That’d be brilliant, but I’m not going to get ahead of myself. It’s a big game tonight and we don’t know who they’ll turn up with.
"A Monday night at Selhurst Park – they might have a few first-team players, but we’ll be ready to take on whatever we come up against.”
