Manchester United U18s reveal Old Trafford excitement after reaching FA Youth Cup final
Man United's U18s will play Nottingham Forest in the FA Youth Cup final as they bid to extend the club's rich academy history.

Manchester United's U18s are relishing the opportunity to play in the FA Youth Cup final at Old Trafford next week.

United made it to the Youth Cup final this season after beating Wolves 3-0 in the semi-final in March. United's youngsters have enjoyed an excellent run of form in the prestigious competition and they're set to play Nottingham Forest in the final.

The final will be played on Wednesday, 11 May at Old Trafford and United have already sold a record amount of tickets for the match. The club's box office has confirmed more than 48,000 tickets have been sold for the fixture in a week's time.

The current Youth Cup attendance record is 38,137 and that means Old Trafford is set to host a record Youth Cup crowd. Rhys Bennett, the U18s' captain, has looked ahead to the match and he revealed his excitement for the game, along with his teammates.

“You don’t know how many times you’re going to step out at Old Trafford," Bennett told United's in-house media.

"Every single time you do, you’ve got to just embrace it, go and give your all and keep working hard to play as many games here as possible. I love it every time I step out at Old Trafford; it’s just an amazing feeling.”

“It’s been amazing playing at Old Trafford,” Kobbie Mainoo added while Dan Gore admitted that the feeling is "incomparable."

United have won the Youth Cup (10) more times than any club and they'll be bidding to extend that record.

You can get your tickets for the match here at a cost of just £1 with all proceeds going towards the Manchester United Foundation, which works with disadvantaged children across Greater Manchester.
