'Creaking railways' illustrate problems with public services

Under the Tories, rail fares have risen almost twice as fast as wages. In a cost-of-living crisis, that certainly doesn’t help. The latest hike is kicking-in today (Sunday).

Our creaking railways show us that all of the services we, the public, all rely on are on their knees, after 14 years of the Tories. Things have got to change.

The government is not governing – they are just arguing amongst themselves, while desperately clinging on to power. Not just privately, they are all trying to replace Rishi – who has failed dismally to deliver on his five promises.

Their poisonous plotting is dragging us all down when they should be running the country and fixing the problems they have created! The inward-looking Tory psychodrama is all about them. I am all about Watford and building a better future for Britain.

The lessons are clear. When it comes to getting our public services ship-shape then it is Labour that delivers. Under the last Labour government, waiting lists were at their lowest and satisfaction in the NHS was at its highest. You can’t say that now, can you? The longer the Tories are in power, the longer you wait.

I want to be a part of fixing this, which is why I am standing to be Watford’s MP.

Watford Junction is the second busiest station in Hertfordshire, with over five and a half million passengers annually. That’s an awful lot of people paying a lot more money.
