Fearne Cotton splits from husband Jesse Wood weeks after tumour ...
Television presenter Fearne Cotton and musician Jesse Wood have called it quits on their marriage, shortly after celebrating their 10th anniversary. The 43 year old broadcaster, known for her podcasting work, recently revealed the dissolution of her marriage with 48 year old Wood through an Instagram Story post.
Fearne wrote: "'It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage."
With family at the forefront of their thoughts, she continued: "Our priority has been and always will be our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time."
Together, they share two kids, Rex, age 11, and eight year old Honey. Beyond the shared family, Jesse is also father to Arthur, 21, and Lola, 18, from a previous relationship. Wood is the son of The Rolling Stones musician Ronnie Wood and Krissy Findlay, who died of an accidental overdose in June 2005.
The split comes after more sad news for the BBC Sounds of the 90s host as earlier this month Fearne opened up about a personal health challenge. She mentioned noticing a growing lump on her jawline, which led to a medical inquiry.
Choosing again to use Instagram as her platform, Fearne informed her followers: "Hey gang. I'm going to be out of action for a bit due to a surgery. I felt a lump under my ear on my jawline a while ago now but this year noticed it was growing."
Adding to that, she elaborated: "Turns out it's a benign tumour and another small one above it on the saliva gland."
Despite the circumstances, Fearne is adopting a positive outlook and plans to utilize her recovery period as an opportunity to rest and decelerate life's pace.
The former CITV presenter encouraged her followers to always seek medical advice if they notice any unusual lumps or bumps, and expressed gratitude for the support she received from fellow TV star Davina McCall, who recently underwent surgery to remove a benign brain tumour.
She added: "If you feel a lump or bump or feel like something is a bit off, always go get it checked. I'm so glad I did as the longer you leave these things the more complicated things become."
"It's obviously so weird that only a couple of months ago Davina told me about her tumour and then weeks later I was calling her having discovered mine. "I'm not only lucky she's a bloody good mate but also a beacon of light and positivity when it comes to this stuff.
Sending you all loads of love and I'll see you soon. ". For the latest TV & Showbiz news, sign up to our newsletter.
