Fernando Torres may have hung up his playing boots 18 months ago, but the former Liverpool and Chelsea hero looks to be in the shape of his life.

The 36-year-old cut a lean and lithe figure in his pomp when he was terrorising Premier League defence and spearheading the attack of the Spanish national team which won the 2008 European championships.

After making an emotional return to Atletico Madrid following his eight-year spell in England, Torres wound up his goal-laden career playing for Sagan Tosu in Japan, before returning to his boyhood club where he has taken up a coaching role with Atleti’s B team.

And it would take a brave man to question any of Torres’ decisions given his hench new look which he unveiled during a promotional event for a Southeast Asian casino website.

The 18-year-old got off to a perfect start scoring Atleti B’s only goal on Sunday just seconds into the second half.

The young striker signed his first pro contract with the club back in September and could have a bright future under the guidance of Torres and, if things work out, his Dad.
