Gogglebox stars The Malone family have been taken to one side at an airport. Tom and Julie Malone have voiced their annoyance at being stopped going through security.

The pair, from Manchester, have left their home in the North West for Ireland. Tom and Julie are heading to Dublin for a bit of a break.

The well-earned holiday comes just days after Tom celebrated his birthday. While en route, the family shared their incident at Manchester Airport.

They flew from their local transport hub but had a bit of an issue with security. While heading through to departures, they were pulled aside.

Tom said: "Guess who got at Manchester Airport because he had curling tongs in his bag? They weren't mine. Christ almighty. They say 'are these your curling tongs?' and I've got to say 'yeah', cause I packed my own bag apparently."

Julie quizzed Tom, saying: "What is it we're looking for now? Departure gate?" before turning back to the camera. She added: "See you soon Dublin!"

Gogglebox continues to air each and every Friday from 9pm til 10pm. Episodes are also available to catch up with via the on demand platform and catch up service, the All 4 Hub. The Malone family star in the show with their children. Their son Tom Malone Jr quit the programme last year.
