NBC political correspondent Steve Kornacki shifts to sports, dismisses Denver Nuggets' chances against Golden State ...

When NBC News national political correspondent Steve Kornacki isn't pointing at a touch screen and describing the county-by-county results of a Senate race, he's sometimes pointing at a touch screen and brutally breaking down an NBA team's faltering postseason chances.
On Sunday, before Game 4 of the Golden State Warriors' playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, Kornacki noted that his computer model gave the Nuggets a 1% chance of coming back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Dubs. "In fact," Kornacki added, "if anything, that computer model might be a little kind to the Nuggets."
The odds are in the Warriors' favor.

Ouch! As Kornacki went on to point out, no NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit, hence his skepticism about Denver even having a 1% shot at redemption. And typically, teams up 3-0 close out their series pretty quickly. Kornacki says out of the 143 squads who have gone up 3-0, 89 finished their series with a sweep, and 41 finished things off in five games. Just 10 teams got to a Game 6, and only three made it to a Game 7 before bowing out.
If you're a Warriors fan watching the aforementioned clip, you've gotta be feeling good. And if you're a Nuggets fan? You might be getting some unpleasant flashbacks to a disappointing election night outcome delivered by Kornacki and his infamous touch screen.
