Susanna Reid clashes with GMB guest over the Queen's support of Prince Andrew
Good Morning Britain was hosted by Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on Monday morning. The presenting duo welcomed the Daily Mirror's Kevin Maguire and Daily Mail's Andrew Pierce onto the ITV programme to discuss some of the biggest news stories of the day. However, the discussion became heated when Kevin aired his grievances with the Queen and the financial support she’s given her son Prince Andrew.
Susanna and Richard were leading a debate about a cake being made for Queen Elizabeth, just like how the iconic Victoria sponge was reportedly made for Queen Victoria.
However, the discussion soon moved to another matter relating to the royal family.
Kevin hit out at the Queen, criticising the way the monarch has handled the recent controversy surrounding her son Prince Andrew.

Speaking about reports that the Queen has paid towards Prince Andrew's legal fees, Richard said: “Apparently she’s already paid two million in legal fees so far.”
However, Kevin made it clear he took issue with the Queen financially supporting Prince Andrew.
He remarked: “We should remember all this when we just say, ‘Oh, she’s marvellous.’”
“She is marvellous!” Susanna hit back, defending the monarch.
However, the Daily Mirror journalist hit back once again: “Well, he's taking money from mummy, isn't he?
“So, he's not making his own decisions, he's being funded,” Kevin insisted.
“Sorry if this cake has got a bit stale, but it’s the reality of the situation,” he added, linking back to the original culinary-themed story they had been discussing.
“I think you should clear off during platinum weekend Kevin,” Andrew joked.
However, in an attempt to cool down the debate, Susanna made a cheeky dig at the journalist.
“When it comes to celebrating the Queen this year The Daily Mirror no doubt will have a 70-page pullout celebration, platinum jubilee souvenir, and you will be taking the entire bank holiday weekend off,” she said to Kevin.
Kevin shook his head as he laughed at Susanna’s comment.
