Real reason Gordon Ramsay is missing from ITV's Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible
Fred Sirieix and Gino D'Acampo were back on screens this evening with another brand new travel show - Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible. However, just minutes into the programme, fans took to social media to complain that there was something missing - their regular co-star, Gordon Ramsay.
In the two-part series, the Italian and the Frenchman set off an a geographical, culinary, cultural and eco-friendly tour of Austria and Croatia. But as fans tuned in, they fumed that they were missing Gordon.
Posting to X/Twitter, one user said: "Gino & Fred without Gordon is like chips with salt but no vinegar or something." Another added: "Time for Gino & Fred, shame Gordon isn’t in it."
Another complained: "No wonder @GordonRamsay didn’t join Gino and Fred. I switched it off once the word methane and cows were mentioned."
Speaking in a previous interview with Express.co.uk, Fred explained that he had a project coming up which Gordon couldn't be involved in due to travel issues.
He shared: "Well, we don't have one [a show] with Gordon and Fred, but me and Gino, we went to Croatia and Austria. But Gordon couldn’t travel so we both just went."
Speaking about the changes it brought, the First Dates star continued: "I mean, it's kind of the same kind of thing I would do with Gordon, but it’s just me and Gino. Just the dynamic is a bit different.
"We travel in these two countries and we are being conscientious travelers on a green mission. Maybe just as funny, though, I am not like a green guru or anything like that, but, you know, I'm genuinely concerned with what we do.
"So it was, it was a way to explore and to interrogate ourselves and to interrogate the situation and to see where we are at and what's going to happen in the future."
In a further interview with ITV, the star expanded saying: "Gordon is extremely busy. I don't know if you've seen his Instagram and social media but he's opening restaurant after restaurant after restaurant.
"He also has two very young children. There's Oscar who is five years old and Jesse who is 10 months. So he really has his hands full, you know?
"He just couldn't make the time. And we love travelling and we said to him, 'Well look, we're going and when you want to join us, join us, and we'll go around and we'll have some fun.'"
