Gracie Abrams has admitted she feels "the urge" to apologise to everybody she knew in high school.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the 25-year-old revealed that the first time she fell in love when she was "an idiot" in high school.
"I was in high school and I was an idiot," the That's So True hitmaker confessed. "Do you ever have the urge to go back and apologise to everyone who knew you before you figured your s**t out? That's how I feel about high school."
"Falling in love at that time felt pretty obsessive," she continued. "I loved everything about him."
While Gracie didn't reveal the name of her first love, she is likely referring to record producer and songwriter Blake Slatkin, whom she dated in high school and who produced some of her early music.
"I felt so inspired and motivated by him, and he was my best friend," Gracie shared of her first love. "It was real love."
The pop star then opened up about how the relationship ended.
"There were a couple different versions of the breakup," she told the publication. "The first time, I felt so guilty about it that I wanted to reach out all the time. But instead, I kept a running note in my phone and would write down everything that I wanted to say."
She noted that she now recommends that her friends do the same, adding, "I promise you it works. And then you have all your receipts."
Gracie has reportedly been dating Irish actor Paul Mescal since last summer.
