Eurovision fans complain within seconds as Graham Norton's audio ...

The BBC's Eurovision coverage got off to an awkward start after presenter Graham Norton's audio failed. Viewers were left perplexed after a 20-second period with just ambient music, before Graham's commentary began seemingly mid-sentence.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: "Sort ya sound out, Graham."

Another viewer said: "We already lost Graham Norton, what a great start," while a third watcher joked "Oh dear someone seems to have forgotten to plug Graham's microphone in..."

A fourth Eurovision fan claims it's another incident to "add to the iceberg" of the complicated build-up to this year's competition.

The tumultuous lead up to the show in Malmo, Sweden which has involved controversy over Israel's involvement in the 68th annual contest.

Hours before the grand final it was announced that Netherlands' contestant Joost Klein had been expelled from the competition following a complaint made by a female member of the production crew.

Throughout the week thousands of pro-Palestine protesters have taken to the streets in Malmo, Sweden over Israel's involvement.

More protests are expected this evening as Israel is one of 26 countries to quality for the final.
