Greggs shakes up menu with seven new items including chicken ...

Greggs is shaking up its menu this week, introducing brand new items alongside the return of some popular old favourites.

The high street bakery chain is introducing a new barbecue chicken range to selected UK shops as part of an expansion of its hot menu offerings.

Launching in 150 stores from tomorrow, February 6, the menu will see tasty additions like the new barbecue crispy chicken burger and the barbecue chicken wrap, priced at £4 and £3.80 respectively. Greggs said it plans to extend these offerings to over 300 locations by spring, reports the Mirror.

Describing the barbecue crispy chicken burger as a "new twist" on a beloved classic, it combines chicken breast in crispy crumbs with salad leaves, drizzled with barbecue sauce and mayonnaise, all presented in a soft corn top roll.

Meanwhile, the barbecue chicken wrap features southern fried chicken goujons paired with salad leaves, cucumber, tomato and the same combo of barbecue sauce and mayonnaise wrapped in a soft tortilla.

In addition, Greggs is launching new crispy chicken bites – succulent chicken pieces encased in breadcrumbs, which will only be available in selected Birmingham outlets.

Greggs is also welcoming back the ever-popular Katsu Chicken Bake, the delightfully sweet Cherry Bakewell Muffin, and two twists on coffee with the Cinnamon Swirl Latte and Cinnamon Flat White making a comeback.

The Iced Cinnamon Latte is also making a comeback in selected stores. All of the new and returning menu items can be ordered via Click+Collect on the Greggs App starting from Thursday this week.
