TikTok trainspotter Francis Bourgeois stars in The North Face and Gucci ad
The second chapter of The North Face and Gucci’s partnership has just dropped with an exclusive collaborative video from streetwear site High Snobiety that, to the internet’s delight, features TikTok star and trainspotter Francis Bourgeois.
It’s full steam ahead for the fashion brands after the success of last year’s release, with the powerhouses once again showcasing the outdoor-inspired ready-to-wear collection in a fun youthful way.
In the short social media clip to promote the line, locomotive lover Bourgeois can be seen playing the role of a train conductor, speaking over the tannoy system, checking tickets and encouraging people to take in the exquisite scenery.
The spot highlights the sought-after pieces that feature bold logo prints, nature-inspired motifs and block colorways reminiscent of ’80s and ’90s styles.
21-year-old Francis began posting trainspotting videos to his TikTok account during the Covid-19 pandemic and has since amassed 2.1 million fans and 36.9m likes.
The social media phenomenon records himself with his GoPro camera, filming his face from a humorous angle, which has since become synonymous with his channel. Only last week the train enthusiast took to the tracks with American pop singer Joe Jonas, making headlines around the globe.
