Bundesliga side edge out hosts at Tynecastle
Heart of Midlothian saw their 100% UEFA Conference League record come to an end as they lost 2-0 to Heidenheim.
Sirlod Conteh headed home, guiding the ball past Craig Gordon on the goalkeeper's 300th appearance for Hearts.
The Gorgie men had beaten Dinamo Minsk and Omonoia in their opening two matches and they impressed in the first half of this contest.
But the Bundesliga outfit were more threatening after the interval with Conteh opening the scoring just before the hour mark.
Neil Critchley's men tried to find a way back into the match but the visitors added a second as Jan Schnopper directed his header into the net.
Hearts face Cercle Brugge in their next European game on November 28th.
