EastEnders spoilers: Heather Peace shuts down Eve and Stacey romance

EastEnders newcomer Heather Peace has shut down all speculation of a romance between Eve Unwin and Stacey Slater. Even if they are married.

Stacey (played by Lacey Turner) and Eve tied the know after meeting in prison, where they were cell mates.

It’s strictly a marriage for convenience so Eve could claim she had a stable home life when she was finally released from behind bars.

However, fans have constantly speculated that maybe, somewhere down the line, their friendship could become something more.

Sorry guys, it’s not going to happen.

Appearing on Monday’s Lorraine, Heather – who stars as Eve – stressed: ‘There’s nothing romantic going on.’

So that’s that.

Eve arrived in Walford arm in arm with Stacey last month, with Heather, who’s also starred in Waterloo Road and London’s Burning, revealing the timing was ‘perfect’ after raising three daughters with her wife and EastEnders superfan Ellie Dickinson, who have all now started school.

‘I feel ready to get back out there,’ she beamed.

I feel like I’m ticking all the boxes right now.’

EastEnders continues tonight at 8.05pm on BBC One.
