Henry Cavill and Natalie Viscuso welcome their first baby as ...
Actor Henry Cavill and his partner Natalie Viscuso have officially become parents to their first child.
The Justice League star, 41, and Viscuso, 35, first announced they were expecting in April of last year.
Photos obtained by The Daily Mail of the couple walking with a baby stroller confirm they privately welcomed a new addition to their family.
Additionally, a source told People magazine that the actor (who has long been rumoured to play the next James Bond) and his partner have welcomed a child.
No other details – including the child’s name, sex, or birthdate – have been revealed, and it’s clear the couple are keeping things private for now.
Cavill looked casual in sandals, jeans, and a white button-up while Viscuso wore a flowy black dress with a knit shawl.
The pair were strolling on the Gold Coast of Australia, where Cavill is currently filming a live action adaptation of Voltron.
Eagle-eyed fans did notice that Viscuso seems to be wearing a diamond ring on her left hand, suggesting that the couple may be headed towards marriage.
Cavill first confirmed the exciting news back in spring of last year, when he told reporters at the premiere of his new movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare that he was thrilled at the prospect of becoming a father.
‘I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that,’ Cavill told an Access Hollywood reporter when asked about the concept of fatherhood generally.
When asked whether the depiction of fatherhood in his new film inspired him to become a parent, he responded: ‘I mean, he didn’t inspire me to do that. My parents did.’
Notoriously private, Cavill and Viscuso have been together at least since 2021, when they made their relationship official in 2021 with a post on Instagram.
Cavill posted a picture of he and his Viscuso playing chess, writing: ‘This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love, Natalie, destroys me at chess.’
More recently, the Superman star gave insight into the couple’s preparation for their new baby on Father’s Day, posting a photo of himself with a crib and asking for parenting tips.
The caption of the post read: ‘Oh yeah…..and Happy Father’s Day ye dads out there. Turns out I shall be joining your hallowed ranks soon! Any tips??
‘And don’t worry, pillows won’t be in the crib when the wee one arrives, just glue and scalpels so he or she can build Warhammer miniatures. #FathersDay’
Many have speculated that the couple first met while Cavill was filming Enola Holmes, as Viscuso previously worked at the production company that made the film, Legendary Entertainment.
Late in 2024, The Witcher fandom was shaken to its core when it was announced that Cavill had officially stepped down from the lead role as Geralt of Rivia.
He said in a statement at the time: ‘I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4,’ before wishing his successor luck in the role.
Cavill then revealed that he left the franchise in order to start something brand new: A Warhammer film series.
‘After 22 years of experience in this industry, I finally feel that I have the skill set and experience to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life,’ he said at the time, revealing that the franchise had found its ‘home’ at Amazon.
With a new baby at home and a new franchise on the way, Cavill is in an era of new beginnings.
