Channel 4 Home Alone mum Catherine O'Hara is now 67 and looks completely different

It has been 31 years since Home Alone was released - yet it continues to be a festive favourite to this very day.

The cherished Christmas movie first aired back in 1990 with a number of sequels following suit to create a franchise.

Full of festivity, action, and hilarity, it's no wonder that Home Alone has continued to be watched on screens up and down the country at this time of the year.

Starring Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O'Hara, it follows eight-year-old Kevin McCallister as he gets up to all sorts of trouble trying to protect his home from a pair of burglars.

The beginning montage sees Kevin's large family blissfully unaware of his absence as they prepare to leave for their vacation, except his mum Kate played by Catherine O'Hara, who realises later on.

But what happened to Catherine since Home Alone ?

Catherine, who starred in the first two films, is now 67.

Since the films, Catherine has had a number of TV and film roles including Tim Burton's Frankenweenie in 2012, where she starred alongside Winona Ryder.

She also starred in Modern Family in 2015 as Dr Debra Radcliffe and the American show A Series of Unfortunate Events.

However, Catherine is best known for playing Moira Rose in the hit show Schitt's Creek from 2015 until 2020.
