Where are the stars of Home Alone now From Succession star to tragic death
Have you ever wondered where the cast of Home Alone is now?

Home Alone is indisputably one of the most popular Christmas films of all time, with a strong fan base to this day.

For many, settling down to watch it is a crucial part of the Christmas period. It’s one we watch time and time again, but have you ever wondered where the cast of Home Alone is now?

Macaulay Culkin

Culkin was the star of Home Alone and won the hearts of many as the crafty Kevin McCallister.

After the first film premiered in 1990, he landed a part My Girl before reprising his role as Kevin one last time in the squeal Lost In New York in 1992.

In the years following this, Culkin starred in a number of films including The Good Son and Richie Rich.

After a number of roles in smaller films, Culkin took a break from acting at the age of 15.

In 2017, he set up a comedy brand called Bunny Ears, which has expanded to a website, podcast, and content creation.

This year, he starred in the latest season of American Horror Story.

He also welcomed his first child, Dakota, with partner Brenda Song this year.

Joe Pesci

Pesci played one of the film’s villains whom we loved to hate. He brought the character of Harry to life, alongside his partner Marv, played by Daniel Stern.

The same year that Home Alone was released, Pesci starred in Betsy’s Wedding and Goodfellas, winning an Oscar for his work in the latter.

In 1999, he announced his retirement from acting, before returning in 2006 for a cameo in The Good Shepherd. During his retirement, he tried to focus on music and released three albums.

He starred in The Irishman in 2019, working alongside Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro.

Daniel Stern

Harry’s gullible partner Marv is played by Daniel Stern, who starred in The Wonder Years and City Slickers in between the first and second Home Alone films.

After the franchise ended, he starred in Rookie of the Year, Bushwhacked, and City Slickers II, along with many others.

Stern is still in acting today, with his most recent role being in Hulu’s Shrill.

He is also a sculptor, with his pieces dotted around California.

Heard played Kevin McCallister’s father, Peter, in Home Alone and Home Alone 2.

The star died suddenly in 2017 at the age of 71. At that stage, he had accumulated more than 200 credits on stage and on screen.

He starred in the likes of Gladiator, Beaches, and The Guardian. As well as that, he played a detective on The Sopranos and had a number of smaller parts in other well-known productions.

Heard is survived by his three children.

Catherine O’Hara

Before she played Kevin’s mother Kate, O’Hara starred in Beetlejuice in 1988.

She voiced Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas and joined a star-studded cast for Over the Hedge in 2006.

Since 2015, she has played Moira Rose in Schitt’s Creek, along with a number of appearances in other TV shows such as Modern Family.

She has been married to production designer Bo Welch since 1992 and has two children.

After Home Alone, he continued acting, and starred in Dennis the Menace and Strong Island Boys.

He has also starred in Nebraska and Blue Ruin. Ratray has accumulated a number of credits for his roles over the years, with four in 2021 alone. He reprised his role as Buzz in a 2021 production of Home Sweet Home Alone.

In recent weeks, Ratray has come into the limelight again - this time for the wrong reasons - as he has been accused of trying to strangle his girlfriend.

Gerry Bamman

Grumpy Uncle Frank was played by Gerry Bamman, who provided a number of laughs throughout the films.

He went on to star in The Bodyguard, Runaway Jury and The Chase before retiring from acting in 2015.

Bamman also had a reoccurring role in Law & Order, as well as appearing on a number of other shows. He was a stage actor and playwright too.
