ITV continues its election coverage with a series of The Leader Interviews – Tonight programmes featuring all of Great Britain’s largest political parties.

Produced by Multistory Media, part of ITV Studios, and by ITV News, the half-hour programmes will allow viewers to gain a more intimate insight into each leader’s life, from their personal background to their political policies and priorities.

The first programme broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX at 8.30pm on June 6 will feature Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey.

On STV in Scotland and ITV1 Border Scotland, the programme will also feature the Scottish Green Party’s co-leader Patrick Harvie, and in Wales it will be solely an interview with the Plaid Cymru leader, Rhun ap Iorwerth.

The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will take part in the second interview programme, with ITV’s Paul Brand, on Wednesday June 12 at 7pm when the Conservative party leader will be questioned about his latest manifesto promises and priorities.

Monday June 24 at 7pm will see other parties’ leaders featured; including Richard Tice of Reform UK and Carla Denyer, co-leader of the Green Party, and others tailored to each nation including, on STV in Scotland and ITV1 Border Scotland, a full interview with the SNP leader, John Swinney.

In the last of the programmes, Paul Brand will interview the leader of the Labour party Sir Keir Starmer and put his party’s policies under the spotlight. That will be aired on ITV1 at 8.30pm on Thursday June 27. Each programme in the run will feature on STV & STV Player, with National interviews as highlighted above.
