Who is in the Reacher cast as crime thriller arrives on Amazon Prime Video

The first season of new show Reacher lands on Amazon Prime Video today (Friday, February 4).

It is based on the international bestselling novel Killing Floor by Lee Child and promises to be a more faithful adaptation than the Tom Cruise movies.

The eight-episode series begins with retired military police officer and drifter Jack Reacher arriving in the small town of Margrave, Georgia.

Soon he is arrested for a murder he did not commit - and finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy of dirty cops, shady businessmen and scheming politicians.

Using his brawn and his brains, Reacher has to unravel the shady goings-on in Margrave before they swallow him up.

Alan Ritchson

Alan Ritchson plays the muscle-bound hero Reacher - physically more reminiscent of the man-mountain described in Childs’ novels than Tom Cruise.

Ritchson, 39, made his acting debut as Aquaman in CW superhero series Smallville in the late noughties - before gaining further prominence for playing Thad Castle in sitcom Blue Mountain.

He returned to superhero television as Hawk in DC Universe series Titans before leaving in 2021 and taking up the role on Reacher.

Malcolm Goodwin

Goodwin stars as Oscar Finlay, the Margrave police chief detective who accuses Reacher of murder.

The 39-year-old American actor is perhaps best known for his role of detective Clive Babineaux on CW series iZombie.

He has had minor parts in various films and TV shows including American Gangster, Detroit 1-8-7 Leatherheads and The Longshots.

During filming it emerged Goodwin and Ritchson have the same birthday - November 28, 1982.

Willa Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald plays Margrave police officer Roscoe Conklin.

The 31-year-old actress is best known for her lead role as Emma Duval in MTV’s horror series Scream. She has also starred in political satire series Alpha House and medical comedy-drama Royal Pains.

Bruce McGill

McGill stars as the Mayor of Margrave Grover Teale, whose family has run the town for generations.

The 71-year-old actor is known for his work with acclaimed director Michael Mann in the movies The Insider, Ali and Collateral. His other notable film roles include Animal House, My Cousin Vinny and Shallow Hal.

Chris Webster

Webster plays KJ, the spoiled son of businessman and town benefactor Mr Kliner.

The 35–year-old English actor, from Dunstable, Bedfordshire, is best known for his roles in Most Dangerous Game and TURN: Washington's Spies.

Reacher also stars Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, Hugh Thompson as Baker and Kristin Kreuk as Charlie.
