BRENDA Edwards has revealed the emotional moment her late son Jamal sent her a sign on the day of his "home going service".

The YouTube pioneer, who sadly died of a heart attack aged 31 in February, was laid to rest last month in Luton where he was born.

Ed Sheeran and Jessie J, who credit him with kickstarting their music careers, both performed songs in a tribute to their friend.

His heartbroken mum appeared on Good Morning Britain today wearing blue, Chelsea fan Jamal's favourite colour, and told hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid: "It was just a really beautiful service."

The Loose Women star was asked by Richard about her "belief system" and she replied: "He is with my mum and dad, and nan and grandad.

"When we laid him to rest there was a J above in the sky, all the other clouds were all moving, but that J never faltered. I believe he is with me.

"I do have faith. I'm not here to put that on anyone else, everybody deals with grief in their own way.

"This is how I deal with it, and when Jamal was here he would say 'you speak to mum and dad?'

"And (now) I'm like, 'you're there with mum and dad right now. Please tell them I said hello.'

"It's a beautiful thing out of something quite sad and negative, believing."

Brenda, 53, later added: "I talk to him every morning, and night, I say 'hello baby ... goodnight.' I talk about anything, I do get a lot of strength from that. He inspired me, I would always talk to him about work and Loose (women)."

Jamal started his media business SBTV "on a £20 phone" while he was still at school in 2006.

He brought superstars Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Rita Ora and rapper Dave to the attention of millions with his homemade videos before they were signed by major labels.

The channel now has 1.2 million subscribers, and his mum and sister have set up a trust in Jamal's name, according to his wishes in his will, to support young people trying to achieve their dreams in the media space.

She said: "I am managing to because Jamal’s mantra was about self belief, and that’s why I’ve named (his trust) Jamal’s Self Belief."
