Peter Andre praises ‘brave’ The Wanted for carrying Tom Parker’s coffin

Peter Andre has praised The Wanted as “very brave” for carrying their bandmate Tom Parker’s coffin at his funeral.
Max George, Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes and Siva Kaneswaran carried Tom’s coffin from the hearse into the service at St Francis of Assis Church in south east London.
Oasis song Live Forever played out as they made their journey into the church, while The Wanted 2012 hit Gold Forever could be heard playing as mourners left.
Writing in his new magazine column, fellow singer Pete, 49, praised the stars for their bravery and told of his sadness at how young Tom was.

He wrote of the foursome acting as pallbearers: “It was so sad to see Tom Parker’s loved ones and bandmates attending his funeral last week.
“I must say it was very brave of Max, Nathan, Jay and Siva to carry Tom’s coffin, and it was amazing to see how many of Tom’s fans lined the streets.
“I’m sure it gave his wife Kelsey great comfort to have their support and the support of The Wanted boys.”
Pete continued: “It still breaks my heart to think of how young Tom was. My thoughts are with Kelsey, their children and Tom’s family and friends.”
Following the funeral, Nathan took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of the band all smiling.
“Always, The Wanted,” wrote Nathan, 29.

Telling the congregation it was "too painful" to stand up in the church on the day, Kelsey's voice read: "19 year old me met Tom outside of a nightclub, I say met - I instantly saw him and said ‘oh my god, I love him.'"
It continued: "It was love at first sight, even if he didn’t know it yet.
"We went into the club, tables next to each other and he asked for my name which I thought was weird, but he told me: ‘I wanna add you on Facebook’.
"And the rest is history," the star announced, as she recalled telling everyone that she already "wanted to marry Tom Parker".
