Jet2 has issued a warning for UK holidaymakers flying to Palma de Mallorca Airport in Majorca. Jet2, which is rivalled by the likes of Easyjet, Ryanair, TUI and more, warned that maintenance work at the busy airport could leave tourists waiting longer than usual at immigration.
A spokesperson said in a warning to passengers across the UK: “There is currently maintenance work taking place at Majorca (Palma) Airport. We are working with the airport to ensure that any disruption to your airport experience will be kept to a minimum."
Jet2 added in the alert to passengers and tourists who have flights booked: "Due to this ongoing work you may be waiting slightly longer than normal to clear immigration in both departures and arrivals, our friendly Customer Helpers will be on hand to help."

It went on, warning: "We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding should you experience an extended wait time, which is beyond our control.” The check-in desk will open 3 hours before departure, Jet2 explains on its website.
The check in desk will close strictly 40 minutes before departure. All Jet2.com flights currently depart from Terminal A. Jet2.com check-in desks are 188-189. There is a drop off/pick up point located at Palma de Mallorca Airport and for airport parking see the Palma de Mallorca Airport website.
All baggage left at the left-luggage office passes through an x-ray checkpoint to verify that they do not contain dangerous items or objects. Suitcases or packages exceeding 25kg of weight, and exceeding the dimension of 210 cm (width + length + height), will not be accepted.
Last year, The Airports Council International (ACI) recognised Palma de Mallorca Airport as “Best Airport in Europe” in its category of between 25 and 40 million passengers in 2023. The Mallorcan airport has been recognized by ACI for the fourth consecutive year.
