John Travolta celebrates 'most beautiful daughter' Ella on her 21st birthday: 'Your dad adores you'

John Travolta celebrated his only daughter's milestone 21st birthday on Instagram on Saturday. 

The Pulp Fiction star shared a gorgeous photo of Ella Travolta outside in the garden at their family home in Florida, along with a heartfelt message. 

This year's birthday celebration will have been understandably bittersweet for the family, as it was the first birthday for Ella since her mother, actress Kelly Preston, passed away from cancer last summer.

'Happy 21st birthday to the most beautiful, kind, human being and artist I know. Your dad adores you!' Travolta, 67, gushed in the caption.

In the photo, Ella flashed a big beaming smile dressed in a blue denim jean jacket and her dark brown tresses styled long and straight with a part in the middle. 

At first glance it's easy to see Ella's resemblance to both her father and mother.

Preston was just 57 when she passed away in July 2020, which was two years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Travolta announced the tragic news on Instagram, where he revealed his wife had 'fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.' 

He also shared how 'Kelly's love and life will always be remembered,' in the emotional post.  

Preston's career highlights in Hollywood included roles in such films as Mischief (1985), Twins (1988), Jerry Maguire (1996), For Love of the Game (1999), What A Girl Wants (2003) and Death Sentence (2007).

Back in February, Ella paid tribute to her dad on his 67th birthday, calling him 'the most incredible man I have ever known.'   

'You are not only the best Dad ever, but you are also my best friend. Thank you for raising us, helping us and loving us and thank you for all of the good you do every day,' the adoring daughter added.

'The world is so lucky to have you and so are we. I love you Daddy. I had the best time celebrating your birthday with you yesterday.' 

Travolta is also a father to 10-year-old son Benjamin, whom he shared with Preston.
