Bake Off address Jurgen's exit as viewers left in up in arms over 'disgraceful' result
Great British Bake Off have spoken out after infuriated and upset viewers hit out Jurgen not making the final, saying its "never nice" saying goodbye to bakers.
A three time star bake4r, Jurgen, 56, was many fans' tip to triumph this year but, despite winning the technical challenge in patisserie week, judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith decided to send him home from the tent.
Jurgen's controversial exit means that next week's final will be between Chigs Parmar, Giuseppe Dell’Anno and Crystelle Pereira.
But, with many Bake Off viewers already threatening to boycott the final, whoever wins out of those three may well leave a bad taste in the mouths of viewers who hoped and expected Jurgen to win.

As social media was filled with a barrage of complaints, whoever is in charge of Bake Off's Twitter account posted: "Thanks for joining us tonight for another very emotional Bake Off.
"It’s never nice saying goodbye to our bakers, but we’re so happy and honoured our paths crossed in the first place. See you next week to cheer on this tremendous trio!"
While some fans, with a heavy heart, agreed that it was the right result, others weren't having any of it.
One swiftly replied to Bake Off's tweet to write: "Nope. Should have taken all four into the final. Juergen was treated very badly tonight. Going to take a while to get over this one. Very unfair judging. Shame on you."
Calling for all four bakers to make the final, another responded: "I don’t understand why they couldn’t just put all 4 through everyone single one of them had perfect bakes so how could they get rid of jurgen he was no way the weakest baker I’m actually fuming," and a third reacted: "I think you got it so wrong.
"There was nothing to separate these four. All four should have gone through to the final. I can’t imagine a final without all four."
