Who is Harvey Price?

Harvey Price is the 19- year- old son of former glamour model Katie Price and former professional footballer Dwight Yorke.

He has made appearances on chat shows Loose Women and Jeremy Vine, and was a focus of the 2021 TV documentary, Katie Price: Harvey and Me.

Harvey has been diagnosed with Septo-optic Dysplasia, as well as autism and Prader-Willi syndrome, which means that he requires constant care.

Last year, Harvey became an ambassador for Mencap, a charity which works with people with learning disabilities.

Katie Price, 43, is a former glamour model and media personality, who rose to fame modelling for page 3 of The Sun under the pseudonym Jordan.

She appeared on the third series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, and has starred in several reality TV series including Katie & Peter, and Katie Price: My Crazy Life.

Price began a relationship with Harvey’s father Dwight Yorke in 2001, but they split shortly after she fell pregnant in 2002.

Who is Harvey Price’s dad, Dwight Yorke?

Dwight Yorke is a 50-year-old former professional footballer who was born in Trinidad and Tobago.

Yorke made his First Division debut, playing for Aston Villa, in 1990 and stayed with the club until 1998.

Between 1998 and 2009 he played for Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City, Sydney FC, and Sunderland.

Yorke has admitted that he cheated on Katie Price during their relationship and has not played a role in raising Harvey.

In 2018, it was reported that Yorke avoided bankruptcy after paying £1.5 million in tax debts.

What medical conditions does Harvey Price have?

Harvey Price has Septo-optic Dysplasia, a rare condition which seriously affects his eyesight, meaning that he is partially blind.

He has also been diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome which causes physical symptoms and learning difficulties.

Prader-Willi syndrome can cause an excessive appetite, leading to dangerous weight gain.

Other symptoms include learning difficulties, and behavioural problems such as violent emotional outbursts.

The condition is very rare, affecting an estimated one in 10,000 to one in 30,000 people worldwide.

Harvey also has autism, which can cause him to have meltdowns if he becomes overwhelmed or experiences distress.
