Kevin De Bruyne agrees Man City exit after dropping transfer
Kevin De Bruyne has just a year remaining on his Manchester City contract and amid links with moves away from the Etihad Stadium, he appears to have already agreed terms with his next club

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly keen on joining Al-Ittihad after expressing his desire to move to Saudi Arabia.

The Belgian playmaker has just a year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium. He has already been linked with a host of big-money moves including to Saudi Arabia.

And it appears that the Middle East will be De Bruyne’s next destination once his Man City stint comes to a close. According to reports in Italy, the 33-year-old has agreed personal terms with Al-Ittihad.

Talks are ongoing between the Saudi champions and Man City regarding a fee. Should everything go as planned, De Bruyne will leave the Premier League a year before the end of his contract.

The move would come after the midfielder admitted that he would be open to seeing what Saudi Arabia would offer in the latter stages of his career. Speaking last month, he said: “At my age you have to be open to everything. You're talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career.

“Sometimes you have to think about that. If I play there [Saudi Arabia] for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years.

“I may not even reach that amount yet. Then you have to think about what that could mean next. But at the moment I haven't had to think about that yet.”

Man City boss Pep Guardiola - whose contract also expires next year- has previously appealed for Guardiola to retire at the club. Speaking last season, the Spaniard said: "It's a question for him, I'd love him to stay but I don't know.

“I heard some links but I don't know if there's an offer, I don't know if Saudi Arabia wants him. I would love him to stay until the end of his career, but everyone is everyone."

De Bruyne has proven to be one of the best signings in Premier League history during his time with Man City. After joining from from Wolfsburg, he has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups and five League Cups.

Should De Bruyne complete a move to Al-Ittihad, he would join a squad packed with glittering names. They boast Karim Benzema, Houssem Aouar, Fabinho and N’Golo Kante.

Kante has been linked with a move back to the Premier League with West Ham but the Hammers have struggled to agree a deal with the Saudi side so far.
