A two-part documentary about the sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey has been acquired by streamer Max, nearly a year after the Oscar winner’s acquittal in London court.

“Spacey Unmasked,” commissioned by Britain’s Channel 4 in 2022, has finally been completed and is set to air in the U.K. on May 6 and 7. According to Variety, the series features archival footage and never-before-seen interviews.

Warner Bros. Discovery secured a deal to bring the documentary stateside for Max and ID, though exact release dates have not been confirmed.

The series, helmed by “Who Is Ghislaine Maxwell?” producer Katherine Haywood, is described as “a forensic look at a man who was once one of the most admired and respected actors in the world” — from the Tony winner’s early beginnings to eventual “meteoric rise to stardom,” per Variety.

Pointing to Spacey’s acquittal last summer, the synopsis notes it will spotlight “Spacey’s conduct and talks to multiple men unconnected to that case about their experiences with Kevin Spacey, almost all of whom have never spoken before.”

Last July, the New Jersey native was found not guilty on all nine charges — initially 12 — in his sexual assault trial in London. The alleged incidents spanned from 2001 to 2013 and involved four men. Spacey previously pleaded not guilty to all charges, including one of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent, for which he would have faced potential life imprisonment if convicted.

Spacey was one of many Hollywood hotshots whose career was derailed amid the rise of the #MeToo movement in 2017, after actor Anthony Rapp accused him of sexual battery in 1986. Over a dozen accusers followed with their own allegations.

In 2022, a Manhattan jury determined Spacey should not be held liable for the “Rent” star’s claims, cemented in a $40 million civil lawsuit Rapp filed in 2020.

Responding to the news of the upcoming documentary, the former “House of Cards” star, 64, released a statement to Variety through a rep.

“I’m honored to be starring in my first film with Warner Brothers in many years. I hope the Academy [of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences] takes note of some of the great acting by the lesser known cast,” quipped Spacey, who has won two Academy Awards — one for his starring role in “American Beauty” and the other for “The Usual Suspects.”
