Kevin Spacey ordered to pay £23m to House of Cards studio for losses

The actor, 62, was fired from the show when he faced a number of sexual assault allegations. The star has always denied wrongdoing.
The studio said it lost millions of dollars as filming was already under way for the next series which they had to scrap, according to US media reports from arbitration papers.
“The safety of our employees, sets and work environments is of paramount importance to MRC and why we set out to push for accountability,” MRC said in a statement.
Actor Anthony Rapp was the first to make accusations against Spacey and a string of allegations followed.
In the wake of the claim by Mr Rapp, Spacey gave a statement saying he had no memory of the encounter.
He offered “the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour”.
The Standard has approached Spacey’s representative for comment.
