“What is key is having five hours between meals and not having anything except water during those five hours.”
Drinking plenty of water helps slimmers feel fuller for longer, consequently leading to weight loss as they can avoid eating snacks throughout the day.
Kirstie also reduced her carbohydrate intake and replaced them with vegetables.
She told the Sun: “For me, one of my things is that potatoes don’t suit me.
As well as making changes to her diet, Kirstie started doing regular exercise to shed the pounds.
Speaking to the Sun, she added: “On a working day, I get up at 6.15am and I’m straight into my exercise kit for a workout.
“I run up hills and then walk down them. At 7am I wake the kids.”
The TV presenter reportedly lost an impressive two stone by following her new, healthy diet and exercise regime.
Kirstie maintains her slim frame by continuing to eat healthily and do regular exercise, running and walking with her children.
