Lana Del Rey fans say singer is having a laugh as UK tour tickets
Some fans described the prices as a 'steep ask even for an artist as iconic as Lana Del Rey'

Lana Del Rey fans have criticised the prices of tickets for the singer’s UK tour - with some standing tickets going for more than £400.

Earlier this week, the musician, known for songs including Born To Die, Summertime Sadness and Say Yes To Heaven, announced a string of UK and Ireland tour dates that will see her perform in stadiums next summer.

Kicking off at Cardiff Principality Stadium on June 23, the tour will also head to Glasgow, Liverpool and Dublin, before ending at London's Wembley Stadium on July 3. Pre-sale tickets went up this morning for those who were successful in an early registration ballot.

But as early tickets went available on Ticketmaster at 10am - there was frustration from some fans at the ‘eye-watering’ prices. Showing a venue with rear standing tickets at £297 and front standing at £419, one fan posted on X: “Lana Del Rey, are you having a laugh with your ticket prices ma’am?!”

Another said: “£170 to stand watching Lana Del Rey. What in the ****.” One other also said: “Guys im not seeing lana del rey cause whys it £345 for 2 seats at the back, back.”

Lana Del Rey is going on tour in UK and Ireland next June and July

Tickets for the shows are thought to be priced generally between £79 and £170, depending on venue, but VIP and hotel packages cost a lot more. For the Cardiff show, rear standing is available for £111.50, with front standing available at £171. Aisle seats are priced at £103.20, with restricted view aisle seats available for £116.90.

Addressing the surge in price of tickets, one fan posted: “last time i booked lana del rey tickets for a uk tour (2019) they were £47.” One other commented: “Concert ticket prices have definitely skyrocketed lately, and it’s no surprise fans are frustrated. Paying £100 for nosebleeds or £116 for restricted view tickets is a steep ask even for an artist as iconic as Lana Del Rey.”

However, the costs were not enough to deter other fans. Acknowledging the cost of tickets, one person posted online: “Just spent a ridiculous amount on lana del rey tickets and i don’t wanna talk about it.”

Another posted: “Well there was no ticket war for me today…I’ll see Lana Del Rey again twice in the UK next year. Crying happy tears.”

General sale for Lana Del Rey’s UK and Ireland tour will begin on Friday at 10am via Ticketmaster and See Tickets.
