Leicester City, FA Cup holders. That's the tag they wear as they begin their 2022 campaign in the competition.

It starts against a familiar face in Claudio Ranieri as he brings his Watford side back to the King Power Stadium just over a month since the six-goal thriller in the snow.

But this could be a very different City team on the pitch today, with potentially up to 17 first-team outfield players unable to play because of international commitments, injury, or illness.

There will be young players in the squad and therefore potential for debuts at the King Power Stadium, in what is City's first game of 2022 after their New Year's Day fixture with Norwich was called off.
