Gabby Logan presents coverage of the 44th staging of the 26.2-mile race, as approximately 50,000 competitors of all abilities take to the streets of the capital. Kelvin Kiptum of Kenya won the elite men's race in 2023 in a course record time of 2:01:25, but tragically died in a road accident two months ago. Marathon debutante Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands took the honours in the elite women's race despite struggling with a hip injury. Meanwhile, the men's and women's wheelchair events were won by Switzerland's Marcel Hug and Madison de Rozario of Australia respectively.
