London Marathon Live Updates: Track Runners' Results And More

Almost a week after the Boston Marathon, the season continues with one of the most prestigious marathons in the world: The London Marathon. 

The TCS London Marathon begins at 4 a.m. EST on April 21 as thousands of runners take over the largest city in the United Kingdom. 

Tokyo Olympics gold medal winner Peres Jepchirchir of Kenya has set her sights on not only winning the women's race, but will attempt to break the marathon record. She finished third in the race in 2023 and has wins in the Boston Marathon (2022) and the New York Marathon (2021).

On the men's side, Leul Gebresilase and Tamirat Tola will be among the favorites to win. Last year's London Marathon winner Kelvin Kiptum of Ethiopia died in car accident in Kenya in February. The London Marathon will honor Kiptum before the race.
