EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley explains how she has lost 5stone

EastEnders actor Lorraine Stanely, who played Karen Taylor in the soap for six years, has shared pictures from holiday showing her dramatic weight loss after ditching five stone. Lorraine, 47, revealed in March that she had started a weight-loss bid after saying last August she was leaving the soap.

Now she has shown pictures of the results and fans have been impressed. One person said: "You look incredible." Another said: "You look incredible girl." Taking to social media, she shared a picture of herself looking trim and captioned the post: "What a difference a year makes. Five stone down, feeling good, clean living, healthy choices, new me, healthy mummy."

Lorraine has put her weight loss down to exercise and a healthy diet with the help of her personal trainer.

Away from EastEnders, Lorraine announced that she had got engaged to her long-term partner Mark Perez, last summer. She shared a picture of herself and Mark and captioned the post: "Love you baby!! #Engaged." She added: "Almost 10 years with you,I can now call you my Fiancé, I can’t wait to marry you Mark Perez, I love you and Nancy so much!!!!! Lorraine previously told ITV about her diet, cutting out carbs. She said: "I've eaten a lot of boiled eggs, fish, chicken. No carbs, no crisps and chocolate. I'm enjoying it and I feel better for it." She said she lost 12lbs in her first six weeks on the new diet.
