8 Out Of 10 Cats comedian Jon Richardson and wife Lucy Beaumont divorcing after 9 years of marriage
8 Out Of 10 Cats star Jon Richardson and his wife Lucy Beaumont are divorcing after nine years of marriage, they have announced in a joint statement.
The comedy couple have starred in Meet The Richardsons, in which they play “exaggerated versions of themselves”, since 2020.
A statement to the PA News agency said on Friday: "After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated.
"We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways."
The statement continued: "As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being. We will be making no further comment."

Actress and stand-up comedian Beaumont was nominated for a Bafta TV award in the female performance in a comedy programme category in 2023 for Meet The Richardsons.
The couple share one daughter, whom they welcomed in 2016.
The news of their split comes just a week after the announcement that Meet the Richardsons is back for series five and Lucy who stars, and writes the show, revealed what it was really like working with her husband Jon.
Just a week ago, it was confirmed that the couple were back for another hilarious mockumentary series, which airs on UKTV's Dave, with the fifth series starting this month.
The 10-parter is set to see Lucy very busy with Taskmaster, Bake Off and Celebrity Chinese Whispers, all of which have come off the back of her BAFTA nomination for Meet The Richardsons.
Meanwhile, Jon revealed he was plotting his escape from telly – a theme that seemed appropriate as Lucy predicted the show would be coming to an end.
Speaking exclusively about the new series to OK!, Lucy said: "It carries on from series four. I ramp up my career and Jon ramps up wanting to venture out into other things. It’s the funniest one yet, now that we’ve got to grips with this mockumentary genre – it was a bit of an experiment in the beginning."
Meet The Richardsons first aired in 2020, and has featured the likes of Anton Du Beke, Brian Cox and Jack Dee.
There have always been celebrity guests appearing on the series, and this one is no different. Stars joining the Richardsons this time round include Adrian Chiles, Amanda Abbington, Kimberly Wyatt and Steve Pemberton.
