Luke Evans and BBCs Ghosts cast among celebs at Birmingham
MCM Comic Con is returning to Birmingham next weekend, with a stellar line-up of celebrity guests.

Organisers ReedPop have promised everything from celebrity panels and exclusive premiers, to cosplay, comic book writing workshops, independent artists, live-action role-play and more.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet some of their favourite actors from a range of movies and games, including Ghosts, God of War, Shameless, The Hobbit and Baldur’s Gate 3.

Luke Evans, who has starred in The Hobbit and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast live-action remake, will be at the event singing copies of his new memoir, ‘Boy From the Valleys: My Unexpected Journey’.

Ben Willbond and Laurence Rickard, who can be recognised from BBC’s TV Ghosts and the beloved children’s TV show Horrible Histories, will be in attendance at the convention as well.

Fans will also be able to meet the likes of Dean Lennox Kelly, best known from Channel 4’s Shameless, Oded Fehr, from The Mummy and Star Trek Discovery, Doug Cockle from The Witcher and many more famous faces.

As well as being able to meet some of their favourite actors from the big screen, attendees will also be able to enjoy workshops and gaming sessions, including miniature painting classes, board gaming sessions and stage sessions showing live shows from gaming content creators and podcasters.

Organisers have said there will be something for everyone at this year’s Comic Con and have even added some festive cheer into the event.

The Treehouse is the go-to place for children and families to enjoy the Comic Con fun, both of a festive and fantasy nature.

Kids will have the chance to make some Christmas crafts, explore Davros’ Grotto Christmas with the team from Project Dalek and might even be able to meet Santa himself!

ReedPop has called the event the “ultimate celebration of pop and geek culture.”

The event is being held at the NEC from Friday, November 29 until Sunday, December 1.
