13-year-old Dayne Cooper from Aspatria has a love of all sports, and currently attends Nelson Thomlinson in Wigton which 'offers a variety of sports and clubs'.
After starting to watch Luke Littler in 2024, Dayne Cooper has fallen in love with darts, with his parents purchasing him a dart board and darts.
Dayne has now decided to set up a club to allow his love of darts to be shared with friends and fellow pupils at the school. After a conversation with his teachers, Dayne and his mum have set up a fundraising page to raise money for equipment needed.

Speaking about the fundraiser, Dayne said: "I’d like to express my enjoyment for darts in my school time as many of my friends and other pupils also have an interest in darts.
"The opportunity to give everyone a chance to play is very important and the social benefits of playing together and creating friendships is also important.

Dayne has raised around £200 so far and has also secured a few sets of darts, a stand and a dart board after a generous donation from Lee, landlord of the Black-a-Moor pub in Wigton.
The year 8 student will have a meeting next week to get the club up and running.

"He has just turned 13 and it is just him as a person, he thinks about everybody else, and because this is something he is into, he has just organised all of this."
