Live updates as M4 closed in both directions after accident between Reading and Theale

The M4 is closed in both directions this morning after an accident between Reading and Theale.

According to traffic monitoring website Inrix, the accident occurred between Junction 11 A33 Basingstoke Road (Reading) and Junction 12 A4 Bath Road (Theale).

Traffic has built up in both directions and is causing long delays.

According to one Twitter user stuck in the traffic, emergency services have arrived at the scene.
