Newcastle are rekindling interest in Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise.
Competition is rising for the 22-year-old who, though valued at £60million, has a clause in his contract that can be triggered this summer.
The France U21 international was pursued by Chelsea and Paris St Germain last year and wants to play Champions League football when he leaves Palace.
Manchester United, City, Arsenal and Liverpool all rate Olise and key for him in his choice of next club will be regular game time to continue his upward career path.
Newcastle are making a late push to qualify for Europe themselves and will hope the ambition of their project can help convince Olise they are serious contenders.

They have also considered Nico Williams at Athletic Bilbao and Pedro Neto of Wolves but there are concerns over the latter's injury record.
Olise, who has been on Newcastle's radar since he was at Reading, has had to deal with niggling injuries himself but has returned to top form in recent weeks.
Newcastle already have Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes among their ranks but still believe there is plenty of scope to incorporate Olise as well as hold on to striker Alexander Isak.

Newcastle's pursuit of Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman may also prove influential should the Scot take up a similar role at St James' Park.
Eddie Howe's side remain in the market for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and free agent defenders Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth and Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham.
