Mark Robins celebrates after Coventry beat Wolves

The way Coventry boss Mark Robins celebrated in front of a Wolves ball boy at the end of his side's dramatic 3-2 win in the FA Cup was "disgusting", Wanderers boss Gary O'Neil has said.

Robins said he "apologised unreservedly" after running to the ball boy and clenching his fists after Coventry's quarter-final-winning goal.

The boy had earlier dropped a ball at Robins' feet, believing the home side were about win.

"The boy is really upset," said O'Neil.

"To celebrate in a young boy's face was disgusting. It was important to speak to Mark about it because they are just kids doing their job."

Robins earlier said: "I apologise unreservedly. I don't usually show emotion but after he drops the ball and walked away smiling, I celebrated in front of him."

Coventry's late victory, which saw the Sky Blues score twice in stoppage time to come from behind, means they have reached the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time since they lifted the trophy in 1987.

Neto faces two months out

Meanwhile, O'Neil confirmed Wolves star man Pedro Neto is likely to be out for two months with a hamstring injury that could end his season.

Neto was injured in last week's victory at Fulham.

The Portugal international suffered a similar injury earlier this season that kept him out from 28 October to 30 December.

O'Neil expects Neto to be sidelined for roughly the same amount of time.

"It was nine weeks last time. It could be quicker, it could be slightly longer," he said.

"It didn't feel serious at the time but if there is any tendon involvement, the rehab can take a lot longer.

"He is still young and he is devastated. It is important we get him back right."

Wolves' final Premier League game of the season is exactly nine weeks away, at Liverpool on 19 May.
