Reaction live as Leicester M&S set for shock closure
'It's going to be hard'
One shopper, Tracey (55) from New Parks, said the closure of Leicester's M&S would be tough for her and family. She explained: "Its horrible. Because I live in New Parks and don’t drive with limited mobility, I get a lot of food from there.
"My daughters, who are autistic, will only eat vegetables and fruit from there. My youngest, she only likes the tangerines from there and she’ll only eat the cotton candy grapes. Now it’s closing it’s going to be hard. Fruit from other stores doesn’t taste the same.
"I’d have to get two buses to Fosse Park and for someone who doesn’t drive and has mobility issues it’s hard. I always come in Nero’s [opposite M&S] to meet up with my daughters every week. They go to M&S, it’s their routine.
"Now we won’t be able to do it. Everyone in M&S knows the guide dog. It’s going to be so hard, especially for my youngest daughter. We’re going to have to go to fosse park for fresh fruit veg in the future otherwise she won’t won’t eat it."
