Mrs Brown's Boys' Fiona O’Carroll speaks out on split from co-star husband Martin Delany

Mrs Browns Boys Fiona OCarroll speaks out on split from costar husband Martin Delany
MRS BROWN'S BOYS actress Fiona O'Carroll has split from her husband of 15 years, Martin Delany, who she starred with on the BBC sitcom.

Mrs Brown's Boys star Fiona O'Carroll has confirmed her split from her co-star husband, Martin Delany. The actress, 41, who is the daughter of Brendan O'Carroll, has played Maria Brown in the BBC comedy since it started in 2011, while Martin plays Brendan's TV son-in-law, Trevor.

The star went on to add that she believes the feeling to be mutual before explaining that they were no longer "on the same page".

Fiona went on: "I still have a lot of love for him and I only want the best for him and I think he feels the same way about me.

"There were no major fights, and nobody else was involved but it was a case of not being on the same page any longer," she told RTE Guide.

Fiona and Martin married in 2006 and share four sons, Felix, Isaac, Eli and Dexter.

Brendan and Doreen later went their separate ways in 1999 with Brendan having since spoken candidly of their split.

The Mrs Brown's Boys star said: "I would rather it [the break up] had happened earlier, that I had been more honest. I was also very arrogant.

"I thought, 'Well, I can't leave because if I do she will fall apart,' which was terribly selfish and arrogant of me."

Brendan is currently happily married to his second wife Jennifer Gibney, who he appears alongside on Mrs Brown's Boys.
